Dovonex Ointment is a topical treatment used in the management of chronic plaque psoriasis, a condition characterised by thickened, inflamed patches of skin. It contains calcipotriol, a synthetic vitamin D analogue, that directly addresses the underlying cause of psoriatic lesions—abnormal skin cell turnover.

Calcipotriol works by binding to vitamin D receptors in the skin, which helps normalise the rate of skin cell division and maturation.
